OngoingVoices 4 Autism is offering a Chair Fitness Class geared toward older active adults or anyone who needs a low impact class to stay strong and mobile.The free weekly class is held Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at the MLK Recreational Center dance studio. Instructor is Ms.RM Reilford.

Storm Damage

Heavy rainfall and wind Saturday morning caused sporadic damage throughout the City and Parish. Natchitoches Parish Police reported significant storm damage to the 1900 block of Fish Hatchery Rd. The 100-200 farm shop building owned by R. Stacy received heavy damage.

NSU departments enter into MOU with crime lab

Northwestern State University’s Department of Physical Sciences and Department of Biology and Microbiology have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the North Louisiana Crime Laboratory in Shreveport.

Preliminary early voting results given

There are four proposed constitutional amendments on the Natchitoches Parish ballot for the March 29 election. Early voting got underway March 15 and continues through March 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.at the Registrar of Voters Office located on the first floor of the courthouse at 200 Church St.
