NRMC Foundation will offer cancer screenings to firefighters

The Natchitoches Regional Medical Center (NRMC) and Dr. Keith Ashby of NRMC Medicine Associates will offer comprehensive cancer screening to local active duty and retired firefighters.This program is designed to support the health of those who risk their lives to protect the community.

New Sinkhole

On Friday afternoon Washington Street was closed to through traffic just north of the intersection of Lafayette Street because of a sinkhole. City crews worked into the night to repair the water line, sewer line and water drain. The repairs were completed around noon on Saturday.
