Parish Council continues funding for FAUNA group

The Parish Council voted to fund FAUNA $60,000 at its meeting Monday.FAUNA is an LLC formed by the consolidation of the Natchitoches Humane Society and Natchitoches Hope for Paws. It is the same amount the Council funded last year.

Entities banding together to fight grass and wild fires

A grass fire was reported on Feb. 25 around 4:20 p.m. in the 2500 block of state Hwy 117 near Provencal. Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Deputies (NPSO) and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #4 responded to the scene.
